Why Family Support Groups?
Research underscores the importance of family support networks:
Multiple publications have reported positive experiences from family support groups. These include: reductions in stress, anxiety, and isolation, with parents expressing that these groups provide a platform to feel understood and supported.
Who We Serve
Brighter Days Family Support Groups are designed for parents and siblings of children in the greater La Crosse, WI area with:
Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) including profound and severe autism
Social, communicative, and attachment challenges
Cognitive and behavioral challenges
Other special needs
Program Design
Our sessions are theme-based and include resource-sharing discussions, all developed and facilitated by Chileda Shine professionals. Specific activities for parents/caregivers, siblings and neurodivergent children will be a regular feature to each of the sessions.
