When behaviors show up in the classroom, they often reveal a deeper story. Behaviors can signify stress, reveal frustration, or signal the need for further skills training. At Chileda Shine School Consultation Services, we partner with schools to help uncover student and educator challenges, with the goal to turn challenges into opportunities for student success. Our approach centers on collaboration, respect, and shared problem-solving. 

The Purpose of Chileda Shine School Consultation Services  

Chileda Shine School Consultation Services was created to support students with behavioral needs while giving educators practical tools, strategies, and training they can use every day. Our collaborative approach helps schools create safer, more engaging learning environments where students feel supported and educators feel confident. Our work is grounded in Trauma Informed Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), an evidence-based approach that recognizes how experiences and environments shape behavior.  

How We Support Schools  

Behavior Assessment 

Understanding why behavior is happening is the foundation for effective support. We provide a variety of services that include: 

  • Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) 
  • Behavior Support Plans 
  • Proactive Strategies  
  • Skills to Teach 
  • Response Strategies  

When needed, we also offer:  

  • Safety Plans 
  • Crisis Response Plans 
  • Tailored interventions to meet a student’s specific behavioral needs 

Our work is informed by record reviews, classroom observations and educator interviews to ensure supports are realistic and meaningful.  

Behavior Support Plans & Training
We don’t just design plans- We help bring them to life. Training is provided to ensure school staff feel confident implementing behavior support plans effectively and consistently. Through modeling, observing, and providing insightful feedback, we support educational teams in implementing strategies consistently with confidence. 

Behavior Technician Support (In-School)
Schools may also request a behavior technician to work directly with students in either: 

  • Half-day increments  
  • Full-day increments 

Our experience has found that this real-time, one to one support encourages further skill building and helps students practice new strategies in their everyday learning environment.  

Classroom Consultation & Workshops 

Our classroom consultations and workshops provide educators with practical, adaptable tools for classroom management and behavior support. These strategies are designed to evolve as student needs and classroom environments change, supporting not just individual students but entire classroom communities. Our classroom consultation services focus on guiding educators on classroom management strategies by: 

  • Identifying classroom-wide supports 
  • Recommending evidence-informed interventions 
  • Supporting implementation and follow-through

Abby Stanislawski is an Education Behavior Consultant with Chileda Shine, bringing five years of experience in educational settings. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Saint Mary’s University in Winona, MN, and her master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Ball State University in Muncie, IN. Before joining the Chileda Shine team, Abby worked as a 3rd grade and K–5 physical education teacher, supporting students with a wide range of abilities and learning needs.
