Speech and Language Pathology

Speech and language therapists evaluate and treat children who have varied communication disorders. Speech pathologists work to improve speech or seek alternative communication through an augmentative communication system.

Speech pathology services are available to all residents of Chileda according to identified needs. Services include evaluation and treatment related to oral motor skills (including feeding and articulation), receptive language ability, expressive language ability, cognitive aptitude, and/or pragmatic ability. Team members participate in the Individual Outcome Process to provide a coordinated, integrated, and most importantly, an individualized plan.
