Chileda Women's Board 2001-02

Since 1986, the ladies who are part of Chileda Women's Board have given their time and support to raise funds for out-of-budget expenses for the Children of Chileda. Many of these women actively volunteer for a number of charitable organizations throughout the year. We are fortunate to count them among our friends.

These 30 energetic individuals plan and coordinate two major fundraisers on Chileda's behalf each year: the Shrimp Boil, held the first Friday in June, and the Silent Auction/Wine Tasting Party, held in early fall. In years past, these events have raised money for the Swiss Resource Center, a community-wide library that is available for public perusal; a learning kitchen in which we can teach basic domestic skills; and new vehicles. VCRs, televisions and a host of other necessities have also been purchased, thanks to their efforts.
